Accessibility Conversions

VMI (Vantage Mobility) and Revability are two of most well-known and respected names in the mobility business and they perform wheelchair accessible van conversions to meet a broad array of needs for the customers they serve. In 2018 VMI acquired the Revability conversion business and, together, they  continue to share a common goal of getting the disabled community moving!

Born in the 1980’s out of a desire to make a vehicle accessible for a friend, VMI has a long tradition of creating wheelchair accessible van conversions. VMI’s strong desire to help has driven their mission to produce top quality accessible vehicles that are safe and dependable, while maintaining the original style of the vehicle.

VMI’s ADA compliant conversions are recognized by the VA and many other non-governmental organizations. VMI is a member of NMEDA, the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association, and their mobility conversions meet the quality standards set by NMEDA for wheelchair accessible vehicles.

VMI’s facility is the state-of-the-art in mobility vehicle conversion, using assembly-line technology to ensure that the painstaking process of modifying the undercarriage and interior is consistent and reliable. Every new vehicle goes through a rigorous 200-point inspection.

In the never-ending quest to serve their customers, VMI designers are continuously reviewing customer comments and suggestions to find the next feature, or tweak a current one, that will make lives of the mobility-challenged a little easier. By listening closely to the people that use the conversion vehicles, VMI is able to refine their processes and create a better product.

Their efficient designs have resulted in VMI typically providing the most usable interior space in the industry. And, those design efficiencies have allowed them to create an accessible, side-entry, SUV, built using the Honda Pilot as a the base vehicle.

More than just wheelchair accessible vans, Revability’s conversions represent freedom. At Revability, innovation is more than just a buzzword. It is the driving force that ensures that their mobility challenged clients get going…reliably, safely, and comfortably. With a Revability accessible conversion vehicle customers can broaden their horizons for travel, near and far.

Revability’s customer service, sales, and technical teams all work together to provide the features that make a real-world difference to our customers. Industry-best ramp widths, maximized interior space, and advanced safety features combine with a dedication to maintaining style and drivability to give customers the mobility options they need and want.

Using advanced manufacturing processes, Revabilty wheelchair accessible conversion vans are built to last. Vans are constructed with metal alloys on a steel chassis for strength and durability. The alloys provide the lightweight properties needed to minimize the added stress to the vehicle while making the vehicle more economical through less maintenance and a longer life.

Revability performs conversions on a variety of top tier vehicles like the Dodge Grand Caravan, Chrysler Pacifica, and Toyota. For larger or heavier-duty needs, Revability also uses Ram ProMaster vans. And, Revability was the first mobility manufacturer to introduce a plug-in hybrid electric version of its accessible vehicles with the release of their Chrysler Pacifica PHEV.

A broad variety of configurations are available, and our sales people can help you select the van, the type of entry-point best suited for your needs, and whether a ramp entry or wheelchair lift is right for you. Choices of colors and interior features come together with your other selections to give you the mobility vehicle that will get you…well, anywhere!
